Since the early 2000s Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) have become a part of the software development practices. However, this method is not well known and it is not being widely practiced in Ethiopia, let alone in Bank of Abyssinia. This is because the benefits are not well understood. This paper attempts to show the benefits of incorporating
CI/CD in the development practices. The paper presents the comparative analysis made against four on-premise CI/CD tools that are being used worldwide. These are Jenkins, GoCD, Bamboo and TeamCity. And finally, the paper recommends a CI/CD tool out of the four that can be used in a development environment with a team such as the one at Bank of Abyssinia.
