System Analysis and Design

Course Descriptions:

The general objective of the course is to familiarize students with common problems and approaches to their solutions in studying, analyzing, developing and maintaining information systems. The course includes: Overview and Basic concepts in Information System development, System Development: Identification, Selection and Planning Phase, System Development: Analysis Phase, System Development: Design Phase,   System Development: Implementation and Maintenance Phase, Current trends in System Development.

Objectives:

At the end of the course students will be able to know how

1. Know concepts underlying system development.
2. Understand the System Development Life Cycle
3. Acquire qualities to solve system analysis and design problems
4. Be familiar with the widely used methodologies, techniques, and tools of system development, operation and evaluation
5. Study existing systems, Model and Design new Systems.
