Windows Programming

Course Objectives

On successful completion of the course, students will be able to

  • explain .NET Common Language Runtime (CLR), .NET Framework Class Library (FCL), .NET Common Language Specification (CLS), Assemblies, Assembly meta data and Global Assembly Cache (GAC),
  • create, compile and run object oriented C# programs using Visual Studio,
  • write and understand C# language constructs, syntax and semantics,
  • produce programs for the desktop using solid multilayer architectures,
  • produce desktop reusable .NET components via inheritance and interface realization, and
  • leverage the major namespaces and classes of the .NET Framework.

Course Description

This course is intended to give the students a basic knowledge of how to develop Windows Application using C#.NET. After completing this course, students will be able to understand: Event Driven programming, Basics of Visual studio .NET, add and organize controls on a Windows Forms Application, Add code to Form and control event procedures, Create Multiple-Document Interface applications, Validate user inputs and Debug and Deploy a Windows Application.
