Course Objectives
On successful completion of the course, students will be able to
- understand the principles of web technology and design as well as web design principles,
- understand the basic architectures and communication technologies,
- understand the principles of web based applications development,
- distinguish the different web technologies ,
- build their technology skills using scripting with HTML XML and CSS along with state of the art web design software,
- create web sites using Dreamweaver CS5 and Photoshop CS5, and
- create web animation using Flash CS5, and create web buttons and banners using Illustrator CS5 and Fireworks CS5.
Course Description
This course introduces intermediate to advanced web design techniques. Worldwide Web Consortium (W3C) standard client-side Internet programming using industry-established practices. Topics include JavaScript, markup elements, stylesheets, validation, accessibility, standards, and browsers. Topics also include customer expectations, advanced markup language, multimedia technologies, usability and accessibility practices, and techniques for the evaluation of web design.
