This course introduces students to the basic logic design. It covers: introduction to digital electronics, number systems, Boolean algebra, digital logic circuits and their design, simplification of logic circuits using Karnaugh’s map and Quine McClusky method; Gates Circuits; Arithmetic circuits; Flip Flops; Counters; Registers; Memories; Historical development of computer hardware; Multiplexer and Demultiplexer; Encoder and Decoder; A/D converter, D/A conveter.
